Day 11: A song from your favorite band

Once upon a time, I was still terrible at maintaining a blog. This day is so silly. Do you know how many songs Aerosmith has? Geez Louise. "We did [a wedding registry], but mostly because people expect us to. We're also accepting other gifts not on the registry. However much. It's awkward asking people for money. But we could really use it. Why doesn't Crate & Barrel let you register for a toaster full of cash?" --Pam, The Office

Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep

Really, anything Coldplay helps me sleep. I don't know what it is.

"It's subtle. Subtle works. I show her an image that turns her on and then she looks at me and then she looks at the image and back at me, then back at the image. Soon she doesn't know what is me, what is the image, she just knows that she's turned on."

Day 9: A song that you can dance to

I'm not really sure if this means a song that you know the choreography to, or just a song that is easy to dance to. ALAS. I have chosen a song that I used to know all the choreography to. Get it.

At least we still have Justin Timberlake's many talents to enjoy, even though *NSYNC is caput. Come baaaaaaack.

"I had a very good thing going with David Wallace. He was a good guy. He was somebody I could trust. Here he is. You can really see here that he was okay taking a picture with me, even though I was there for disciplinary reasons."

Day 8: A song that you know all the words to

I think the list of songs that I don't know all the words to is shorter. But, alas.

I'm sorry. I can rap this like nobody's business. You're jealous.

"You know, here's a healthy fitness tip: if you clench your buttocks together while walking, you can really take the pressure off your knees."

Day 7: A song that reminds you of a certain event

So, I never claimed to be good at this blogging thing.

Continuing.

This video is terrible. But the song is awesome. And it reminds me of my final bowl trip as a member of the Spartan Marching Band. Epic show. Epic. Dr. Cannon arranged a fantastic couple of charts for this show.

ANYWAY.

There's that. Maybe someday I'll be better at this.

Andy: "These sure are pretty dogs."
Jo: "They love a good crotch."
A: "They sure do."
J: "You should take that as a compliment."
A: "Oh, I do."

Day 6: A song that reminds you of somewhere

Reminds me of being in Japan. Man, the songs we were listening to.

"Jim's gone on his honeymoon. So I started borrowing his office to fart in. Then one day, I came in and I just stayed. Because this place is awesome. It feels like home now. Even better than my home. My home sucks." - Kevin

Day 5: A song that reminds you of someone

Maybe this is cliché, but you'll get over it.

: )

Pam: "She's incredible. You want to count her fingers and toes again?"
Jim: "No, let's let her rest. I'm sure there are still twelve of each."

Day 4: A song that makes you sad

Conveniently, there are also a lot of songs that make me sad. The real tearjerker for me, though, has to be this one.

I won't get into why, but this song makes me cry almost every time I listen to it. Sigh.

"I invented a device called 'burger on-the-go.' It allows you to obtain six regular-sized hamburgers or twelve sliders from a horse without killing the animal. George Foreman is still considering it. Sharper Image is still considering it. Sky Mall is still considering it. Hammacher Schlemmer is still considering it. Sears said no."

Day 3: A song that makes you happy

There are a lot of songs that make me happy. It's why I'm a musician. But today, I picked one that never fails to make me smile.

Something about it. Partly because it's the song played at the end of Love, Actually (my favorite movie), and that movie always makes me happy, no matter what. It's just such a good song. Admit it, it makes you smile, too.

Kelly: "It is so boring where we work. It's as interesting as a morgue. It might be less interesting than a morgue."
Michael: "Hey, hey, it's as interesting as a morgue."

Day 2: Your least favorite song

As my least favorite song is a song that I LOATHE, I will not be posting the video. I could make a whole list of songs that I hate, and "artists" who I wish would be swallowed by the Earth, but I guess my all-time least favorite song would have to be:

Party in the U.S.A.

Granted, I hate anything that ever comes out of Miley Cyrus' huge, awkwardly shaped mouth, but that "song" (if you can even call it that) is terrible. I read somewhere today that she's going to do a cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." I can't believe she would defile the memory of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana by covering it. I hope it sucks. Nay, it will suck.

I'm going to go listen to the real version on repeat for a few hours, so maybe I'll get her voice singing it out of my head. Good Lord.

Jo: "So, say we catch this whistleblower. What do you think I should do with them?"
Michael: "We should give them a one-way ticket to Montego Bay. Where they keep all the Al Qaeda."

Day 1: Your favorite song

I don't know that I'll ever really update my blog when I say I will. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've tried. Anyway.

I've never really thought about what my all-time favorite song is. I listen to so much music this was almost impossible (clearly, since it took me a week and half to figure it out).

As I type this, I think it's important for you to know that my computer is throwing a hissy fit. My dock won't pop up and exposé isn't cooperating. I don't understand. Restart coming momentarily, after...

My favorite song:

Phenomenal. I never skip this song when it comes on my iPod. There isn't much like Aerosmith in the 90's. Debauchery. Sex. Guitar. Tom Hamilton making creepy eyes. Joey Kramer dressed like a fairy. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry wearing shirts that don't really qualify as shirts. Brad Whitford....being Brad Whitford.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten the classics. 75% of this list will probably be Aerosmith songs, let's be serious. But there's something to be said about Aerosmith in the 90's. Check it.

30 Day Song Challenge

I hate seeing bad songs on Facebook, so I think I'm going to do the 30 Day Song Challenge on here. I've neglected my blog, and I think it's time to get back on it. I haven't decided how to start (I have to pick my favorite song first? Really?), so I think I'll sleep on it (and eat some delicious Easter food) and start tomorrow.

Apologies in advance for possibly taking a week and a half long hiatus because I'll be Florida getting tan in May. Don't hate the player.

The rules! Because I'll forget.
